Nissan has hit the market with Leaf, an electric car which, as Nissan describes, is the first affordable, zero emission car on the planet. On a single charge, it can travel up to 100 miles, with a power output that exceeds 90kW. Although it is described ‘affordable’, at almost ₤25,000, it does not sound that affordable to many.
